About this place Le Broc Bar

Le Broc Bar at 20 Rue Lanterne is one of the longest-standing inclusive venues on the Presqu'île — open since 2005, gay-friendly in a lived-in rather than marketed way. Its large terrace under a mulberry tree is one of the most pleasant outdoor sitting spots in the 1st arrondissement. The crowd mixes queer regulars with neighbourhood residents; there is no particular policy, code or type — just an easy terrace bar open from early morning to around 1 am. Heated terrace in winter. An ideal starting point for a Lyon evening, or a reliable place to end up.

Great spot for a coffee or a beer on the terrace. Check the chairs carefully and be strategic, the pigeons have good aim.

The liveliest happiest bar of my 77 years This tiny bar on the corner under a huge mulberry tree is amazing. Quiet during the day it comes to life and rocks in the evening with late Millennials and early Zoomers. I’ve never seen a noisier and happier crowd! Whether you join or observe, it will lift your spirits and put a smile in your heart.

A must-visit! Especially the terrace. It's so popular you won't find a seat.
