Berges du Rhône

The riverside walkways of the Berges du Rhône, around the Pont Winston Churchill and opposite the main entrance of the Parc de la Tête d'Or, have long been used for cruising by gay men after dark. Activity picks up in the evenings in the warmer months, mostly on the quieter stretches either side of the bridge. This is a busy public riverbank by day, with cyclists, joggers and families, so wait until late and stay discreet. France is legally very LGBTQ+-friendly, but public sex is still an offence. Keep valuables to a minimum, stay aware of who's around, and respect other people using the park.
