La Chapelle Café occupies a prime position on the Quai des Célestins with a terrace looking across the Saône to the Fourvière basilica — one of the most romantic views in Lyon. Unusually for a gay bar, it opens at 9 am, making it one of the few explicitly LGBTQ+-welcoming venues for daytime visits.
