via Stay22About this place Le King Sauna
Le King Sauna, in the 17th arrondissement, isn't where you'd expect a Paris gay sauna to be. But it’s been around for ages, so it pulls a steady local crowd.
You’ll find a steam room, a dry sauna, private cabins, and a darkroom. Nothing fancy, just the basics.
This place feels more like a local bar than a circuit party spot. That’s because it mostly draws Parisians, not tourists. The 17th is residential, and the sauna reflects that low-key vibe. It's a good alternative if you want something less frantic than the Marais options.

Unpleasant, unfriendly, dirty, a disaster

I went there last Friday around 6:30/7:00 pm and found the door closed with no indication on the door, on the website or on the establishment's social media (the last posts date from the end of 2024)

CLOSED, ALAS! SUMMER 2025 🟦⬜️🟥 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What a shame, it had just reopened = a lovely, clean, and well-located place, easily accessible in this beautiful neighborhood near the 17th arrondissement town hall, Parc des Batignolles, Gare Pont-Cardinet, and Rome metro station... THE BEST PART = one of the cheapest saunas in Paris at €15 (+ special youth rate) with very long opening hours = 7 days a week from 1 pm to midnight + TWO LATE-NIGHT SESSIONS per week (1 pm to 6 am, every Friday & Saturday)... this gay cruising spot (cabins/backroom in the basement) + hot showers, sauna, and hammam (on the ground floor) isn't huge, but it's intimate enough for some great "hot" or sensual encounters. After that, it's like anywhere else (however beautiful a place may be to serve as a setting for your august amorous encounters), it's still up to the clientele to bring their "personal sex touch" or create a cheerful atmosphere! And here, the clientele is neither snobbish nor stereotypical Miss World or queer types, but rather down-to-earth, Caucasian/Southern European/French Overseas Territories, a mix of young and old, professionals, office workers, and new students, and above all, warm and welcoming: they quickly prove to be friendly, direct, and unpretentious. NB: Smoking area (booth) for devotees, and good coffee, drinks, and snacks at very reasonable prices.
