A cozy hotel. There's a cafe on the premises with delicious food. It's clean and smells nice. The staff is polite. I recommend it.
So, here's a very honest review of this hotel, which was sorely lacking when we chose it for our vacation. Pros 1. The hotel's location is a bit far from the sea (a 20-minute walk to the nearest beach), but it's close enough to Old Batumi and the city's attractions. 2. Is the soundproofing good? At least we didn't hear our neighbors. - Rooms: • The room smells damp and moldy. As soon as you leave and close the balcony, be prepared for a musty stench when you return. • The outlet near the kettle in the room doesn't work, and no one is going to fix it. They suggest pulling an extension cord from the bathroom/outlet near the bed, and plugging another one into it so you can simultaneously turn on the kettle without turning off the TV. How safe this is and the quality of the extension cords remains to be seen. • Dirty, century-old linens with stains, torn curtains, a prehistoric, moldy shower head that sprays water from every crack. A trickle of water flows from the shower tray onto the floor, forming a lake. • The refrigerator and clothes dryer are in the hallway. The hallways are also constantly in disarray, with bags of linens and towels lying around 24/7 on every floor. • A hard, old bed that gave everyone back pain. • Mediocre Wi-Fi, which constantly disconnected and was extremely slow. Housekeeping: • This is the first hotel I've stayed at that offers room cleaning, but only if you go down and ask for it in person. The cleaning itself is mediocre, leaving long, black hairs on the bed and floor. BREAKFASTS: • I don't know what people who say the breakfasts are good eat at home. If your goal is simply to fill your stomach, then this breakfast is perfect. But honestly, it's hard to imagine a more hopeless breakfast. Breakfasts don't change at all. Every day you'll come home to the same old "dishes": fried sausages, boiled eggs, sliced cucumbers, fried croutons in an egg, fried cutlets of unknown origin, something resembling pre-cooked fried pancakes with meat, stale cottage cheese, a basket of lavash bread, instant coffee, and tea. Don't expect any fruit, porridge, yogurt, cereal, salads, omelets, or buns. There won't even be any jam, only cheap pre-packaged jam. Breakfast runs from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. We went there twice and always had better breakfast in our room afterwards. Overall, the hotel's service still has a long way to go to reach an acceptable level. Decide for yourself whether everything I've described above is acceptable for you, but if anyone had written about it here, we would definitely have chosen a different option.
It is ok for the price paid
If you're looking for a quiet hotel to relax, this is the place for you! You won't regret it. Wonderful, friendly staff and very responsive hosts. Everything is within easy reach, good breakfast, spacious, affordable rooms. No crowds of tourists. We'll definitely be back.
