About this place Back2ME

Back2ME is a mainstream hotel on Otar Chiladze Street in Batumi, Georgia's Black Sea resort city. It is listed here as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Reviews are good (4.4 from about 190). Batumi is compact and the hotel is within walking or short taxi distance of the seafront boulevard, the old town and the casinos. There is no website listed, so book by phone or through the usual booking platforms. Georgia is socially conservative on LGBTQ issues, and there is no visible gay scene in Batumi, so most travellers keep things discreet in public.

The location is really okay, the rooms are a bit small, and the beds are quite decent. All in all, a perfectly normal hostel.

A really great hostel. Everything is spotlessly clean. The woman wipes down every surface thoroughly – fantastic. The plumbing is top-notch – everything works perfectly. The beds are long and wide. All the staff are friendly and positive, always ready to help. Overall, a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!

Highly recommended! I spent 4 nights in this hostel in Batumi (paid 120 GEL in cash at the reception), and I absolutely loved it! Staff: The receptionists, Lyosha and Dima, were amazing — super friendly and helpful. Location: Perfect location! It's just a 10-15 minute walk to the Ali and Nino statue and the beach. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a currency exchange close by. Cleanliness & Rooms: The rooms were cleaned every single day between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The beds are modern, large, and comfortable. The rooms themselves are spacious with lots of fresh air. Amenities: They provide free towels and a cozy blanket. There is a hairdryer, shower gel, and separate restrooms for women. Every bed has its own charging outlet. There is also a nice mini-kitchen and a common area to relax. The room had an AC (we didn’t use it, but you can get the remote at the reception). There’s nothing bad to say, really! Just a small tip for future guests: the bedside lockers don't lock, but there are secure lockers with keys near the reception that you can use for free.
