I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel de Rome during my holiday. The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, and located in a great area. The room was comfortable, the service was excellent, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Berlin.

We stayed here to celebrate a friend’s bachelorette party and were so happy with the whole experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us set up our little spa surprise, making sure we had everything we needed. We also requested a connecting room for our group of five girls, and they happily arranged it for us. Everything was spotless, organized, and perfect for our stay.

It's strange to work in this kind of hotel and not know how to say hello.

Although I wasn't a hotel guest, I spent a very pleasant evening in the bar of the Hotel de Rome. The atmosphere is stylish and relaxed, and the drinks were excellent. I was particularly impressed by the service: attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. As a guest, you feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a lovely evening in a special setting.

The welcome upon arrival, the check-in at reception, the concierge service, and the housekeeping all deserve special recognition. In these respects, the Hotel de Rome is a 5-star grand hotel in every sense. However, compared to recent years, the selection and quality of breakfast have declined significantly. Many items that were standard in previous years are now only available upon request and after a long wait. The breakfast service also leaves much to be desired. Half of the staff, including management, seemed unenthusiastic or even annoyed, while the other half, although trying, lacked experience or language skills.

The hotel is located near the State Opera, which is why we booked it. The lobby makes a very nice and interesting impression. The reception staff and the porter were very friendly and helpful. The room was okay overall. However, the windows wouldn't open, and even after asking several times, no one could help us. We also didn't know if anyone had tried to fix it, as there was no further information provided. Now to the restaurant: the breakfast buffet was limited and was replenished without any care. Anyone arriving later had to make do with leftovers. It wasn't clear which waiter was responsible for which tables. I got the impression that there was no system in place. The food we ordered also took quite a while to arrive and was sometimes cold, or the egg dishes were dried out. For the price, I expect more polish and not almost exclusively inexperienced and overwhelmed staff. The service was better in the evening, as there weren't as many guests. The service was better in the evening, as there weren't as many people there. The little nightcap at the bar after the opera was enjoyable. A nice touch was that the drinks were themed around the opera's repertoire and named after the opera being performed that evening. The rooftop bar on the 4th floor is also highly recommended. It offers a lovely view of the square below, and the service is prompt.
