Hotel Indigo Berlin – Alexanderplatz gives you a stylish place to sleep in one of Berlin's busiest neighborhoods.
This 153-room hotel opened in 2012. It's part of the Indigo boutique chain, and they keep the design modern: rooms get refreshed every six months, so the decor never feels dated. Think thoughtful interiors that don't skimp on comfort.
Alexanderplatz puts you right in the middle of the action. It's a good spot for digging into Berlin's culture and history, and it's especially good for the city’s lively LGBTQ+ scene. The hotel itself is gay-friendly; expect a welcoming place no matter who you are. Rooms generally run from inexpensive to moderate, depending on the season. There's also a small gym if you want to work out.
Berlin has always been an open city, known for its progressive vibe and strong queer community. This hotel offers a comfortable, contemporary spot to crash between hitting the city's many attractions and social spots. If you want another Indigo option, there's a sister property near Kurfürstendamm (Ku'damm) in West Berlin.

We are now staying at the hotel and will not be returning here again. It is a shame that a hotel with a location that suits us receives such a terrible rating just because of poor service from the hotel staff. In the morning, before we went down for breakfast, we told the guy who was supposed to clean the room not to touch an electronic device plugged into the wall. The cleaner was happy and said there was no problem. Then at 1:00 PM we returned to the room and noticed that it had not been cleaned for us. I called the reception and a girl answered me who said she would tell room service to come and clean the room. Then at 1:15 PM before we left for the city, I said again *face to face* to the same girl who answered my phone that she would make sure that our room was cleaned and she said that it would be cleaned. It is now 7:43 PM and our room has not been cleaned!!!! Not only was it not cleaned, it seems that none of the staff knows that our room was not cleaned. I called the reception and they told us that there was nothing they could do because the cleaner had left and that they would only be able to clean the room tomorrow morning. It is simply annoying and incomprehensible and completely ruins the whole experience!!!. It's so terrible that the least they can offer is new towels and that's only after I complained and made it clear and understandable that I was not happy with the situation. It's just a shame. And I hope they take this seriously. I don't expect to be treated like a wild animal. I do have to say, though, that the guy I approached later at reception to ask for towels was nice and expressed regret about the incident and brought us new towels and offered us food compensation.
Thank you all!
Exceptional hotel, I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, the cleanliness, and the breakfast, and of course, the best part is its proximity to the Uber Eats Arena.
The receptionist at check-in was very courteous and competent. My room was lovely and had a view of the East Side Gallery. Breakfast in the room was easily arranged. The only downsides were that the desk chair was rather uncomfortable and the bathroom only had a sliding glass door.
Perfect location, friendly welcome, super nice breakfast service Good breakfast
Perfect for Uber Hallen, Spree and East Side Gallery
