Highly recommended. The staff were very friendly and the location is fantastic.

I rented several rooms for my wedding guests. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious, and clean. The only drawback is the lack of air conditioning, and some rooms were very hot. This meant we had to leave the windows open, which unfortunately made the noise from the party area around the Berbuda Triangle very loud. Perhaps this could be addressed in the future. Unfortunately, my guests also had to wait a very long time for breakfast. Otherwise, I would gladly recommend this hotel, if only because the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would even give it 5 stars if that were an option.

Great value for money and all in the heart of the city

Fourth floor, no elevator. Room without ventilation or air conditioning. Since it's located in the noisiest spot in all of Bochum, you can't open the window. The bathroom isn't really a bathroom at all! It looks makeshift. Glass walls with transparent glass! I had breakfast downstairs twice and waited about an hour each time. €20 for a roll, too little butter, a dollop of scrambled egg, and coffee. I've only ever stayed in worse accommodations in Guantanamo. But that only cost €5, not €250.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Hotel Tucholsky. Initially booked for one child and one adult, we were able to add another child thanks to the superior room. Lucky us! The service was the friendliest I've experienced in a long time. The staff here still put their heart and soul into their work. Our room was spotless, right on the heart of the Bermuda Triangle nightlife district. This made going out for dinner or running errands in town a breeze. While it's a bit noisy outside in the evenings, you can barely hear a thing with the windows closed. And the children's beds faced the quieter inner courtyard. There was a fan that kept the room cool, which was fantastic in the nearly 30-degree heat, as the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Parking garage number 8, located diagonally opposite the hotel, is incredibly convenient (I highly recommend Smart Parking, as it saves you an extra 10% and offers super flexibility: you can enter and exit whenever you like). The hotel is situated directly above the hotel's tapas bar and the Tucholsky Café. The food and service are highly recommended here as well. At night, you can use the side entrance if needed. A thoroughly enjoyable experience for the three of us. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the Art Hotel for one night. Excellent location, very cozy atmosphere and rooms. We were thrilled and will definitely come back. Regards, Christian

Unfortunately, we had a very bad time. The hotel was quite expensive for what it was, old, small, and smelled unpleasant in the hallway and room – stale oil, run-down, and with a distinct toilet smell. There was no elevator in the dirty stairwell, so you had to carry your own luggage. The entrance to the "hotel" was through a back door. The rooms are old, run-down, and worn. In the small room, you can walk from the shower to the bed in one step. The surrounding area had a swollen and faded wooden floor with limescale deposits. Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. The night was anything but restful. It was very noisy from the party district, the windows weren't well insulated, it was very hot at night, and there weren't any suitable curtains to block out the light. There was constant shouting, the bed wasn't very comfortable, and you sweat profusely. Opening the "back room" made it even louder than it already was, and it was also bright from the party district. Check-out wasn't possible in the morning because there was no staff present. I find it impossible to have the relaxed hours of a restaurant when you run a hotel at a major intersection.

A wonderful city hotel with charm and flair – typical of Bochum – and a great starting point for excursions. Very welcoming atmosphere.
