TRAILER

Koffi has a birthmark and is therefore considered possessed. His family also believes this, calling him Zabolo, sign of the devil. For years, he was ostracized by everyone in the Congo for this reason and left the country. After many years in Europe, Koffi returns to his birthplace in the Congo for the first time. He wants to get the blessing for his marriage to Alice, with whom he lives in Belgium. Tradition requires a visit to the family, combined with a large payment. However, the old hostilities are still palpable; only his sister Tshala is critical of the collective superstition. Koffi wants to understand the reasons for his ostracization and uncovers a family secret. And then there's Paco, a boy from a street gang whose fate seems to be linked to Koffi's life.

As part of the exhibition Anys Reimann. Mirrorball at the Weserburg, Museum for Modern Art.

A cooperation between CITY 46 / Kommunalkino Bremen and the Graduate School Contradiction Studies at the University of Bremen and the Weserburg, Museum for Modern Art.
