Sir & Lady Astor
Visitors frequently praise the Sir & Lady Astor for its charming English interior, excellent and fresh breakfast, and particularly friendly and helpful staff. However, a common complaint is the lack of air conditioning in rooms, leading to them being too warm for comfortable sleep, and some rooms may be difficult to access due to stairs.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sir & Lady Astor Düsseldorf. We stayed there for two nights in a superior room via a Bongo package, including breakfast, a bottle of wine, and a welcome pack with fruit, cake, and water. The hotel is small-scale, quiet, and charming, with particularly friendly and helpful staff. The English style of the interior is striking and perhaps not to everyone's taste, but strangely enough, we felt it added extra character to the whole place. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast tasty and extensive, and the location ideal: quietly situated, yet less than a ten-minute walk from the city center. A minor point of attention is that there was no refrigerator, kettle, or similar extra amenities in the room. For those who attach great importance to that kind of comfort, this could be a drawback. For us, however, this did not detract from the stay. We will definitely be back.
Great hotel in a central yet quiet location. The hotel is ideal for a city break to Düsseldorf. Its location between the main train station and the city center is perfect. My room was comfortable, well-equipped, and very quiet. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, which was important to me. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection and high quality. A very nice boutique hotel with a personal touch. Highly recommended!
Beautiful hotel with an English interior, good breakfast, and a friendly welcome. We had a room on the 2nd floor, but without a lift. Despite my hip problem, I was able to take the stairs. However, showering was a problem because it had a very high step, and I couldn't do it without my husband's help. Also, they only came to make the bed and freshen things up every two days, which meant we had to ask for toilet paper. I don't understand this new trend in the hotel industry; after all, you pay the same amount for every night, so you expect the same service every day. The reason they do this is supposedly for ecological reasons, but to us, it seems more like economic ones. Making a bed and checking if everything is still in order has nothing to do with ecology, we believe. It's a pity, because otherwise, this hotel would have received 5 stars.
Very nice hotel in a convenient location near the train station, the historic center and the shopping streets. Pleasant, thoughtful decoration. Excellent fresh breakfast. We will definitely visit again!
