About this place Switchboard (AIDS-Hilfe Frankfurt)
Switchboard is the volunteer-run community café, bar and cultural centre of AIDS-Hilfe Frankfurt, open on Alte Gasse in the heart of the gay quarter since 1988. Part social space and part information point, it hosts events, offers a relaxed place to meet and connects visitors and newcomers with the city's LGBTQ+ support network. It opens in the evenings (Tuesday to Sunday) and is a natural first stop for anyone wanting to plug into Frankfurt's queer community rather than just its nightlife.
