About this place Switchboard (AIDS-Hilfe Frankfurt)
Switchboard is the community café, bar and cultural space of AIDS-Hilfe Frankfurt, on Alte Gasse in the small gay quarter between the Zeil and Konstablerwache. Volunteers have run it since 1988. It works as a low-key place to meet, a venue for talks and events, and an information point for HIV, sexual health and LGBTQ+ support services.
It opens in the evenings, and the gay bars of Alte Gasse and Schäfergasse are on the doorstep. It's a good first stop if you want to meet the local community and not only the club scene.

Competent support for gay men in many situations, for both positive and negative aspects of life. Friendly and well-organized. We also offer individual consultations by appointment, e.g., on pension issues, etc.
