Right next to the train station and zoo. Perfect location for families with children, and a great restaurant on the ground floor. Very satisfied.

The room was clean and tidy, which I'd like to emphasize. However, it's in need of some renovation overall, especially the bathroom, which looks a bit dated. Another downside is the poor soundproofing: noises from neighboring rooms are clearly audible, whether it's conversations or alarm clocks. Overall, it's okay for a short stay, but there's room for improvement.

I always enjoy visiting cities. That's how I ended up here in Karlsruhe once. I came across this hotel and stayed there for a week. The hotel is very well-maintained and offers a very good breakfast. The staff is very friendly. So I was able to have a good breakfast in the morning and then explore the city. It was exactly as I had imagined.

As exhibitors at Art Karlsruhe 2026, we booked two rooms from February 3rd to 9th, 2026. After two nights, we unfortunately had to leave because both our rooms reeked so badly of sewage and toilet waste that I couldn't sleep for two nights. The stench caused nausea and headaches, and the stay at the hotel was unbearable. The replacement rooms offered to us had the same problem, and the entire hotel hallways reeked of sewage. The overpowering air fresheners distributed everywhere didn't help matters. We complained to Ms. Mildenberger, and she admitted that the hotel had drainage problems. Upon check-out, she gave us her contact information and told us to call her regarding a refund. Unfortunately, no one ever answered the phone. I then called the hotel, and they asked me to send an email requesting a refund, which they said would be forwarded to the manager. I did this twice. To this day, I haven't received a response. You can find further complaints online about the unpleasant odors caused by drains and toilets. Martina Kaiser

I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel am Tiergarten HBF Karlsruhe. The location right next to the main train station is particularly convenient, allowing for quick and easy access to the city center and other destinations. The beautiful Tiergarten (animal park) and the zoo are also in the immediate vicinity, making the surroundings very pleasant. The room was clean, comfortably furnished, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including free Wi-Fi. The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome right away. I also really enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel's atmosphere. Overall, a great hotel for a city break or business trip to Karlsruhe – I would gladly stay again!
