About this place La ViE – Queeres Jugendzentrum
La ViE is a queer youth centre at Ettlinger Straße 9 in Karlsruhe's Südstadt, run by the city's youth-work association Stadtjugendausschuss (stja) e.V. It offers young LGBTQ+ people a safe space, one-to-one advice and regular groups. Past programmes have included coming-out groups, trans* meet-ups, film evenings and creative workshops.
It's a youth service, not a nightlife spot. It's useful mainly for young queer people living in or moving to Karlsruhe, or for families looking for support. Opening times and the group calendar are published on the stja website (stja.de/lavie).
