Antisemitism in Football – Book presentation and discussion on 08/25 with Monty Ott and Ruben Gerczikow

Antisemitism is on the rise in many areas of society, including football. And although sport has always created community and connected people, Jews continue to experience exclusion and hostility in German stadiums. Since October 7, 2023, the situation has become even more acute.

Our event will shed light on these developments and address the questions: How does antisemitism manifest in football? What do those affected experience in everyday life? What responsibility do clubs, fans, and associations bear?

Guests are authors Monty Ott and Ruben Gerczikow, who have presented a current and much-discussed analysis with their work "Jews on the Field, Jews in the Stands." They will provide insights into their research and expertly assess the situation.

The event on 08/25/2026 aims to raise awareness, open perspectives, and encourage reflection on one's own behavior. The goal is to make antisemitism in football visible and to show ways to resolutely counter it.
