How does solidarity emerge that can counteract political polarization and the shift to the right? Collective organizing and conflict experience play an important role. In workplace groups or neighborhood initiatives, participants must stick together despite their differences if they want to assert their interests. This social breadth is both a challenge and an opportunity, as it requires dealing with right-wing everyday culture and other divisions, but also enables their overcoming. The contributors present findings from social science research and provide insights into union and activist experiences with organizing solidarity.
