Workshop: Conflicts in Community Work — Understanding Structures, Clarifying Roles, Strengthening Scope for Action
About the event
Part of the workshop series "Strengthened Through the Crisis" 🍽️ ✨– a cooperation between Konzeptwerk Neue Ökonomie e.V. and Konfliktpotential! For everyone active in associations, initiatives, projects, or organizations who wants to constructively shape societal challenges 💬
What is it about? Anyone active in community work, socio-cultural work, or educational work is surrounded by conflicts every day. Be it the issues that clients bring or the tensions that arise within the team due to uncertain structures. Structural problems such as poverty, discrimination, or housing shortages become personal concerns: dedicated individuals want to help, find solutions – even where their influence is limited. This can easily lead to a feeling of powerlessness. In addition, there are usually high and sometimes contradictory expectations from clients, sponsors, and funding logic. As a result, many dedicated individuals experience great internal tension and exhaustion and repeatedly ask themselves about the meaning of their work. In the workshop, these tensions will be addressed and worked through together. We will examine case studies from your practice and gain a deeper understanding of your challenges and conflicts: Which parts are structurally determined, which are personalized in everyday life – and where is your scope for constructive action? Building on this, we will then focus on your professional role.
