We stayed at the Park Inn am Plärrer in Nuremberg for two nights and were very disappointed. At check-in, we weren't informed that the hotel's air conditioning wasn't working. Only once we got to our room did we discover it was around 30°C (86°F). At those temperatures, a restful sleep was virtually impossible. As compensation, we were offered two drink vouchers for the bar. This initially sounded like a nice gesture – however, the bar wasn't even open during our stay. When we inquired, no one could tell us if or when it would open. The vouchers were therefore worthless. The large patches of mold in the hallway were particularly appalling. Such a condition should not be found in a hotel of this category and leaves a very concerning impression, especially regarding hygiene and maintenance. The service at reception was also disappointing. Instead of showing understanding or trying to find a real solution, we were simply offered a free cancellation. This is of little help, however, when you've already checked in and can hardly find alternative accommodation for two nights at short notice. What bothered us most was the lack of transparency. Had we known the air conditioning was broken before check-in, we would have chosen a different hotel. As it was, we felt completely blindsided. Overall, this stay was a huge disappointment. A broken air conditioning system can happen – but what matters is how it's handled. Honest communication, working alternatives, and customer-oriented service could have mitigated many of the problems. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

Convenient and comfortable hotel, standard rooms and breakfast. We were compensated for the non-working air conditioner in the room with a free breakfast.

Good location and nicely renovated rooms. Unfortunately, the shower leaked, so half the bathroom was wet. However, the receptionist was incredibly rude. He shockingly informed me that my air conditioning was broken. I politely asked him for a different room, but this wasn't possible due to the hotel being fully booked. The next day, I discovered through other guests that no one else's air conditioning was working. There was no information from the hotel, no offer of a cancellation, and no compensation, such as a cold drink. I found this very disappointing for such a large chain. But even worse is that they knowingly lied to their guests. Absolutely unacceptable.

With over 40 years of life experience, I have never encountered such a terrible hotel. The outside temperature was nearly 35 degrees Celsius, and not a single air conditioner in our room was working. When we reported the problem to reception, we were met with the arrogant response: "That's not our problem." The staff's indifference and unprofessionalism were simply shocking. In the middle of the night, we were practically left to fend for ourselves, even though it was virtually impossible to find another hotel at short notice. No one felt responsible, no one offered a solution, and no one showed the slightest interest in helping the guests. What is particularly outrageous is that we later learned that the air conditioners had apparently been broken for quite some time. This means that they knowingly rent out rooms that don't even offer the most basic comforts. This hotel is an absolute disaster and an insult to every guest. Anyone who values honesty, service, and even minimal standards should definitely avoid this hotel.
