Kies- und Badesee Birkwitz

The Kies- und Badesee Birkwitz is a former gravel pit on the north-western edge of Pirna, between Birkwitz and Pratzschwitz, used in summer as a public bathing lake. Swimming is officially mixed: nude (FKK) and clothed bathers share the water and the banks, according to seen.de. Part of the lake is private and the southern basin is a fishing area where swimming is banned. We could not confirm it as a gay meeting spot in any current guide or forum; older listings called it one. Sex in public places is an offence in Germany (§ 183a StGB), and families use the main beach, so treat it as an ordinary FKK lake.
