All is good
The free breakfast was delicious and included vegetables. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are bed curtains, but they aren't long enough, leaving gaps. I think it would be better to indicate before booking that guests aged 49 and over are not allowed.
Loved staying at Avenue hostel. It was my friends first hostel experience and he loved Avenue. Great location, our room was really cool as it was part of the shared dorm but tucked away so it felt private. Each room had kitchen and bathroom and pretty much fully equipped! Helpful staff, nice breakfast and some board games to play too
This is the most disgusting hostel I've ever stayed in. The bunks are so uncomfortable, you'd break your legs trying to get to the top bunks. Some bunks have a drawer hanging over half the bed. You can barely fit your feet through. The soundproofing is terrible. The guys walk around like elephants, and the floor doesn't absorb the impact, making it incredibly loud and even the beds shake. And now for an unpleasant incident!!! There was a sick man in my room, coughing profusely and with a runny nose. I asked to be moved away from him. They woke me up in the morning and asked me to go to another room. It turns out it was temporary. And a few days later, they moved me back, but without my knowledge. While I was out for a walk, they picked the lock, gathered all my things, and dragged me out into the hallway. Although they could have just as easily told me in the morning that I needed to go back to my previous place. I would have packed my things myself. When I asked why they didn't warn me in the morning, they didn't give me a proper answer. Although last time they woke me up at 6 a.m. and warned me about moving. Why couldn't they do the same this time? They didn't even apologize for what happened. Loyalty minus 100. I asked for a little milk in my coffee at the bar, and they refused. They told me to buy coffee. Even though there is milk for breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is simply disgusting. There aren't even any cheap sausages or cheese. Bread, eggs, and cereal. I highly do not recommend this place. The staff is completely incompetent. They are unfriendly and don't solve problems. They don't care. They'll hire Indians, and then you'll suffer.
Mili and Antonella were the best host I ever have. I love the company of these beautiful and charming girls that I know in Budapest. You have to come to the avenue hostel only for these girls
