Very central location for public transport: tram, bus, metro. Excellent value for money, a warm welcome day and night, a good breakfast buffet, and clean. The staff is helpful. We don't regret choosing this unique accommodation at all! P.S.: The boat doesn't move.
the famous movie, the Cat-o-the-Cat Ship
Great location, it’s very close to all sorts of public transport, restaurants and bars. Diagonally opposite to the beautiful Hungarian Parliament building. The staff is great! Every single one of them was so helpful!!!! We didn’t try their restaurant so we can’t comment on that. The air-conditioning unit (despite the control panel was dated) was a massive blessing! The room was clean! As our room was river facing we didn’t hear the traffic apart from the tram. But! Some negatives. The boat is right next to the Margaret bridge and all the tram lines running on it. Which can be heard in the room (we were in 220 that was located to front of the boat which is closer to the bridge). There was a distinct not very pleasant smell lingering in the corridor. The room was big enough for a family of 4 however it was on the “dated” side of the scale. Small issues were observed like: - one of the night lights was missing its on/off chain so we could use only one of them. - the ceiling looked damaged. - the bathroom door handle was wobbling so much that felt like it’d stay in our hand when we closed it behind us. - the bathroom is more like a wet-room. If one can overlook these small issues due to the brilliant location, then this hotel is highly recommended.
Not your typical hotel, because it's on a ship, after all. The rooms are clean, the service friendly. The location is quite good, but you have to walk a bit to the main attractions. The breakfast is delicious. It's a classic, standard breakfast. There's plenty to eat and also something sweet to fill your stomach. A nice hotel for a short trip. For a longer trip, the minimalist room could be overwhelming. In the bathroom, you could practically bathe while Poseidon kisses your back. I'm leaving the hotel with the unsolved mystery of the TV placed on the side of the bed. To watch it, you'd have to stand at attention between the bed and the wall. Oh, I almost forgot the most important thing... There are life jackets, in case the hotel starts to sink. Overall, my potato didn't complain.
