We arrived at the Fecskefészek guesthouse with an 8-month-old baby and a dog for 2 nights. We were specifically looking for dog-friendly, PRIVATE accommodation and although the house and garden are really cozy, the view is magnificent... But: The entrance to the accommodation is specifically on an "S" bend, where people do not drive at a speed of 20 km/h, so it is life and danger to get in and out of a larger car. It is far from PRIVATE, as there are several guesthouses on a large estate, the sauna house and the pool are shared with other guests, and although we could use the sauna during the day, in the evening the other guests could use the sauna, as the building was in front of our apartment, the others walked through before us. In addition, the parking lot could only be reached through our garden area, so the other guests walked through the garden when they arrived/departed, or just went somewhere. There is a laundry room in front of the house, where the staff does their business by crawling in and out, which is completely understandable, but not for this much money in the garden of a guesthouse advertised as PRIVATE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT WITH A DOG AT ALL, because although the area is in principle fenced, other guests can leave the gate open, and a dog protecting its family may not take strangers walking around the area well. Speaking of the garden. When booking, there was no mention of the alpacas playing cutely in the area separated by a not very massive and/or high fence in the garden, who also run away in terror from the dogs, so if you are not resting with a "houseplant type dog", then this will not be the place for you to relax. Not least because there are 2 cats living in the garden, and the ground under the giant trampoline is used as a toilet, where your dog can naturally fit in and, if he is inclined, he can have a treat. The peaceful rest turned into the dog being able to be with us only on a leash in the garden, constantly alert to who or what was crawling around and how it could catch the alpacas. As I mentioned, we arrived with a small child, I indicated this fact (and the 22-kilogram dog) in my reservation, and although the hosts provided a cot, unfortunately they did not provide a highchair or bathing facilities. Overall, we were unfortunately disappointed, because we expected a separate cottage on our own, well-fenced plot, where we could relax peacefully, enjoying the extra wellness service while the dog was in the garden, but instead we got an estate consisting of several houses, with a shared pool, which is not even remotely clean, and is inhabited by swimming bugs. The icing on the cake is that I paid 5,000 HUF per night for the dog. Oh, by the way, if you're going to make scrambled eggs in the "equipped kitchen", bring a frying pan, because what's there is not good for your health, to put it mildly, and be careful with doorknobs. 😉😆 UPDATE: The owner's response to the complaint is very interesting. He deleted the photos I uploaded of the pool, referring to the storm and the weather, saying that the scandalously dirty pool couldn't be cleaned in 3 days, where the happily swimming bugs move in in a matter of hours. 🤣 The response about the dog is a joke. According to the locals, the alpacas have been around for a few months, they arrived after our reservation, they could have said something if they knew anything about animals, but they don't. I don't understand at all which part of their "basic code of conduct" I didn't follow by keeping the dog on a leash in the yard and not letting it near the alpacas. Complaints handling 0. It's a shame, but the place could be good with a little change. It's a shame I can't attach a photo of the first response, probably written by a marketing colleague or AI, which the owner rewrote a few days later. At least it included the word "sorry". I think the owner would delete that photo too. 🤣 Good advice: it's advisable to hire someone who can also deal with negative criticism constructively.

This is our second time here and we were not disappointed. The environment is clean, tidy and very peaceful. The bed is comfortable and the accommodation is pleasant and sophisticated in every way. We especially like the location close to nature and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. A perfect place to relax, we will definitely come back.
