The Savoy Hotel Limerick

The room was great! The food was delicious and the service was friendly. However, the elevator wait was very long. I don't know why only one of the two elevators was operational. I waited for several elevators but couldn't get in, which wasted a lot of time!

their ac system would not work. it wouldnt go below 20 degrees . I could not sleep all night because it was so hot. I was drenched in sweat. terrible

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Beautifully decorated. Service was superb. We stayed in a junior suite . It was above expectations , executive level was wonderful. Lovely views out on balcony of the river , castle and thomond park. We dined in hamptons , which is part of the hotel, again it was exceptional food and service were brilliant. After dinner we had cocktails in the bar in the hotel and again service and drinks were fantastic. Wonderful live music also in the bar. Breakfast was a lovely surprise of all service so no quing up for buffet and food was delicious and plenty choice. I went to use aqua and fitness facilities , I saw there was gym and smail pool which I didnt use . I would have preferred if there was a sauna and cold shower, but I didnt see these, so I dropped one star for that otherwise overall we would stay here again if return to Limerick . Thanks to all he wonderful staff, always so very helpful even when busy . Thanks again looking forward to visiting again

​I recently stayed at The Savoy Limerick and, unfortunately, the experience was far from the 5-star standard they advertise. ​Billing Issues: Despite explicit instructions that my stay was to be billed to my company, the hotel charged my personal card anyway. It took an unreasonable amount of time and multiple follow-ups to get my money refunded, which is unacceptable for a high-end establishment. ​Parking Frustration: The hotel uses a separate car park across the street. Even though I confirmed with reception that my parking was sorted, the payment wasn't processed. I ended up stuck at the exit on hold for nearly 30 minutes trying to resolve the issue just to leave. ​Service Standards: Overall, the service felt more like a 2 or 3-star hotel. Between the administrative errors and the lack of efficiency, I expected much better. ​If you are traveling for business and need reliable billing and smooth logistics, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I can know begin to tell you how wonderful our stay was at the Savoy Hotel in downtown Limerick. Susan (I hope that was right) and Darren made our check-in perfect and couldn’t have been nicer. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Was there for an event, beautiful venue

Our room was very nice but we were met with a number of inconveniences during our stay. We had a TV facing the couch and another one facing the bed, but we could not access any apps using the internet on the one facing the bed. We also had a scary situation where another guest managed to open our door at 3am during the first night of our stay. No staff ever initiated any explanation on what happened. The following afternoon our keycards were not working so we had to go down to reception to get them fixed and after that was sorted the situation the night prior was not brought up so I had to mention it and I got a quick explanation that someone has given him the wrong room number. I felt that a short apology with no compensation or remediation was a bit shocking considering if someone was in the room by themselves that could have been a dangerous situation the hotel just put someone in. Furthermore, we were staying in a Junior Suite room so we had access to the Executive Lounge, but when we had to get our keycards changed they must have forgotten to add the access to them because we could not access the lounge afterwards. Also, you could constantly hear doors slamming and people talking in the hallway from the room. Overall the room was nice but there was just too many unfortunate incidents that took away from the enjoyment of the stay. Definitely not a 5 star experience.

Was at the Savoy for supper , staff very friendly, service excellent , food oh my god I give 💯 it was very very delicious from starter to desert I will definitely go back again and I strongly recommend
