Pride of the Déise (Waterford)

Waterford's Pride is called Pride of the Déise, a volunteer-run LGBTQ+ event that's been going strong since its founding in 2019. The first festival, held online in 2020, was a Covid-era necessity, but it's been in-person ever since, thanks to council funding.
It's a ten-day affair, with performances, screenings, and community events scattered throughout the city. The march is the main event, traditionally gathering at Cathedral Square in the Viking Triangle, followed by a block party.
The 2026 festival ran from 27 May to 6 June. As of now, the 2027 dates are still under wraps.
