Bologna Pride 2027
About This Event
Bologna Pride isn't just a party; it's one of Italy's most political. That makes sense for a city with a long history of left-wing activism and LGBTQ+ advocacy. The Cassero LGBTQ+ Center, which has run or co-run the event since 1982, still drives it. This Pride is as much about community as it is about spectacle.
The march usually starts at Piazza VIII Agosto. It moves through the old city to Piazza Maggiore for the closing rally. You'll pass Bologna’s prettiest streets, the UNESCO-listed porticoes keeping you dry or shaded.
The week before the parade, Cassero Cinema shows films. There are panel discussions, exhibition openings, and club nights. Expect 30,000 to 50,000 people at the march, mostly from Emilia-Romagna. It's smaller than Rome or Milan, and that's the point: this is a Pride where you'll recognize people marching beside you.
