Brescia Pride
About This Event
Brescia Pride is a march and rally run by the volunteer Comitato Brescia Pride ETS. The first edition was in June 2017; it now runs on a Saturday in early September, near the end of Italy's Pride season.
In 2025 and 2026 the march started and finished at Campo Marte. Mayor Laura Castelletti has been at every edition since 2017, according to Il Giorno, and spoke from the stage in 2025.
On Saturday 6 September 2025 about 15,000 people marched, Il Giorno reported, up from the more than 10,000 the city and organisers counted in 2024. The night before, banners reading "No gay pride" went up near Campo Marte; committee president Greta Tosoni answered that if Pride still provokes hostility, it has to keep happening. The 2026 edition ran on Saturday 5 September: Parco Pride at Campo Marte from noon, the march at 15:30 and an evening party in the Carmine district, with three days of talks (BLABLAQUEER) beforehand. We didn't find a turnout figure for it.
The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked. Expect early September again.
