About this place Darkness Club

Located in the heart of Cagliari on Via Santa Margherita, this venue is a dedicated gay bar and club serving the LGBTQ+ community in Sardinia's capital city. As one of the established gay venues in the area, it provides a social space where local and visiting queer travelers can enjoy an evening out in a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Cagliari's gay scene is modest but warm, and this club fits into that landscape as a place where you can expect to meet locals and other travelers in a relaxed setting. Gay bars and clubs in smaller Italian cities like Cagliari tend to be community-oriented spaces where regulars gather alongside visitors, creating an authentic local vibe. Whether you're looking for a casual drink, time with friends, or an evening of dancing, venues like this offer a comfortable alternative to mainstream nightlife. For practical details, you can find more information about hours, events, and atmosphere on their website at darkness.club. As always, it's worth checking ahead before your visit to confirm opening times and any special programming. If you're exploring Cagliari's LGBTQ+ scene, this is a solid spot to include in your itinerary.

Nice place, unfortunately not very crowded (I visited it between October and November anyway), I will return anyway... Pleasant atmosphere and very very kind staff!

Honestly I was there the Friday night 18/10 and had an amazing night and the staff were very friendly and informative on how the place worked. I then returned on the 19/10 both nights with a mate of mine. I was subjected to a racist attack by another customer. The staff are absolutely not trained on how to handle such situation and it's such a let down. To have an ugly local openly be so racist to a population of 1.6 billion people is shocking on its own but the staff need to be trained on how to handle similar situations. Places like this that depends on every single euro cannot put themselves in a position of being unfair or unprepared. Despite the obvious racist attack that was witnessed by 3 people they allowed the guest to remain in the establishment. I'll never return and will escalate this further.

A very nice and intimate place. We came last year and were happy to return again this year. The staff is welcoming and helpful, as is the case with any other place in the area. You'll often meet interesting people from all over the world. Recommended for a pleasant, wild evening in the company of nice people. The prices are very fair and affordable.
