About this place Don't tell mama

Don't Tell Mama is an LGBTQ+ bar on Via Pietro Crespi in NoLo, the area north of Loreto that has filled with new bars in recent years. It takes its cue from New York cabaret bars: drag shows, piano sing-alongs and a menu built around gin and tonics. Reviews average 4.4 from about 50. It's small, so book a table for show nights. NoLo is a short walk from the Pasteur and Loreto metro stops and a different scene from the Porta Venezia strip, Milan's main gay district. Check its social media for the current show schedule.

An incredible evening at Don't Tell Mama. The performances were all beautiful and brilliant. The guy at the piano who karaoke with everyone in the venue was incredibly kind and talented! The food and the timing of the courses could be improved.

The best old fashioned in Milan, the funniest drag in the country, they take their karaoke nights very seriously. I advise you to ask for a table beforehand to enjoy the whole experience front row. It’s a cocktail bar: the bar lady it’s super friendly and will serve you drinks catered to your tastes.

I went to the club at the "Final Seeking Star Night" without a table. In the middle of the evening, they asked me to buy a drink of at least €10. Later, when I saw the post on Instagram, it said "free entry" (I've attached a photo). Furthermore, the owner said, "We're not in Piazza Duomo here."

Small and welcoming! The shows are unconventional, but not overly so, and everyone gets involved. The fact that it's not an excessively large space creates a sort of familiarity that helps the audience loosen up a bit. A sincere compliment to all the staff, who were kind, friendly, and above all genuine! A quality that's almost being lost! Recommended for birthdays, hen/bachelorette parties, or even if you just want to unplug for a few hours and have a laugh!
