What reviewers say

Visitors praise Maison Borella for its beautiful canal-side location in Navigli, charming traditional Italian atmosphere with exposed brick and wooden beams, and helpful staff. However, some guests report issues with noise from nearby terraces, slow or unusable in-room WiFi, and occasionally disappointing room amenities or service, with one guest describing a very negative breakfast experience.

About this place Maison Borella

Maison Borella offers LGBTQ+ travellers a welcoming base in Milan's vibrant Navigli district. Located along the Alzaia Naviglio Grande canal, the hotel puts you within reach of one of the city's most lively neighbourhoods, known for its bars, restaurants, and social scene. Milan's gay scene is concentrated in and around this area, making a canal-side location particularly convenient if you're looking to explore local nightlife and culture. As a gay-friendly hotel, Maison Borella caters to LGBTQ+ guests and provides a comfortable, accepting environment for your stay. The canal-side setting offers a pleasant atmosphere away from Milan's busier central streets, while still keeping you close to transport links and the neighbourhood's attractions. Whether you're visiting for leisure, the city's fashion and design scene, or to connect with the local community, the location and welcoming approach make it a practical choice. For current details about rooms, amenities, and booking options, visit the hotel's website directly. As with any trip to Milan, you'll find plenty to explore beyond your accommodation—the Navigli district itself is worth wandering, with its mix of galleries, independent shops, and social venues that draw both locals and visitors throughout the year.

The rooms were very nice, the bathrooms big enough, and the breakfast ample. They had nice pastries and tea. The location is central to many restaurants with a lot of activity into the night. It felt safe and walkable. They helped us arrange a taxi to the train station. The hotel smelled heavenly with their mass of jasmine in bloom.

Right on the Naviglio Grande. You need to stay at this hotel for at least two nights to enjoy the slightly retro and luxurious atmosphere. Highly recommended! Definitely worth a try.
