About this place Bagno 26 — Gay Beach Area

Bagno 26 is the name that the Italian gay community has used for decades to identify the gay beach area in Rimini's Torre Pedrera zone, roughly at the northern end of Rimini's long beach strip. The Italian beach system divides the sand into numbered stabilimenti balneari — private beach concessions that manage sunlounger hire, bar service and facilities along specific stretches. The section around and near number 26 has been informally established as the gay area since at least the 1990s. Multiple stabilimenti in this zone now actively welcome gay guests and some market specifically to LGBTQ+ visitors. The facilities are standard Italian beach club quality: sunloungers and parasols for hire, a beach bar serving drinks and light food from morning through evening, showers and changing facilities. The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable — Italian gay beach culture operates on long days of conversation, swimming, aperitivo and watching the world pass. The beach is wide and the Adriatic shallow and warm in summer, making it a particularly pleasant beach environment. Active June through September; peak July and August when the beach is packed from 09:00 to sunset.

From the moment you enter, you realize this isn't your typical beach resort. In addition to a well-maintained and organized beach, it offers a truly impressive array of amenities that allow you to spend the entire day here without ever getting bored. There are paddle tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, hot tubs, and even a well-equipped open-air gym with shaded areas for working out even on the hottest days. Everything is thoughtfully designed for those who love staying active even on vacation. One of the most beautiful spots is the beach bar overlooking the sea, with a large platform where you can dance and listen to music in a truly captivating atmosphere. The transition from a day on the beach to an aperitif and then to after-dinner entertainment happens naturally, without having to change locations. The staff is helpful, the spaces are spacious, and the atmosphere is always lively but never chaotic. One of the most complete beaches I've found in Rimini, perfect for those seeking relaxation as well as sports, music, and fun. Price €24 for a sun lounger and umbrella, free drink, and free access to the gym and whirlpool.
