About this place L'Alibi

L'Alibi on Via di Monte Testaccio was Rome's oldest gay nightclub — open for more than 40 years and a central institution of the Roman LGBTQ+ scene for generations. It closed in April 2019 following a drug-related police raid. The building has not reopened as a gay venue. Some older guides still list it as active; it is permanently closed.

The Black hopera event is very good, but if you're a white blonde tourist girl, do not go there alone.. You'll be completely surrounded by so. many guys that will just look at you, try to touch you, hug you and so on. You know those videos on Instagram where tourist girls in India go to the beach and they get surrounded and stared at? it's exactly like that. If you ask for help the security won't do anything and you're only option is to leave. Just be careful

The place itself is nice, but needs personnel changes to make it better. The music stays the same type of music all the time, very little variety. The bartender was unpleasant, seemed annoyed alot by everything and everyone, even though the bar was not packed. There was probably only about less than 20 people in there in total. My only compliments are to the security guards, which surprisingly were very patient, understanding and kind. Thank you guys! You guys are awesome! Nonetheless, I will not come here again due to the poor customer service and lack of variety in music.
