Rome isn't Berlin or Amsterdam. You won't find a tight cluster of LGBT-specific shops. Gay Street has a few, and there are some scattered elsewhere, but they're not everywhere. What's here is worth knowing about, and the general shopping in Rome is great, even if it's not specifically gay.
What's on and around Gay Street
Via San Giovanni in Laterano and the blocks around it have a few shops. They sell pride merch, branded items, and some adult stuff. These are usually small places, and stock changes. Hours can be spotty, especially in summer when shops close for siesta, or in August when some just shut down completely.
If you need something specific—party gear, leather, or adult items—ask at a bar or sauna reception. Staff know what's currently open and where to find it.
General Rome shopping
For clothes and fashion, Rome is one of Europe's better cities. You'll find international brands around Via del Corso and the Spanish Steps. Trastevere has smaller, independent shops. Prices are what you'd expect for a major Western European capital—not cheap, but not Tokyo-level either.
