Best Gay Shops in Rome

Rome has very few LGBTQ+ shops, and the list has shrunk. Here is what we could and couldn't confirm.

Fetish and leather

• Alcova, Piazza Sforza Cesarini: a fetish shop for latex, PVC, leather and BDSM gear, named as a Leather Club Roma partner. misterb&b now lists it as closed and we couldn't find a dated 2026 source showing it open, so phone ahead (+39 06 686 4118).
• Hydra II, the leather and alternative shop on Via Urbana in Monti, shows as permanently closed on Google.

Books and culture

Libreria Tuba (Via del Pigneto 39/a) is a feminist and queer bookshop-bar in Pigneto with readings and launches. Leather Club Roma sells passes for its events, including Fetish Pride Italy in December, through its own site.

Gay Street

Google lists a Coming Out Shop at Via di San Giovanni in Laterano 26, a few doors from the bar; we haven't confirmed its hours.
