About this place Parco del Valentino
Parco del Valentino, the large riverside park along the Po south of the centre, is Turin's long-standing outdoor gay cruising area ("battuage"), with the wooded stretches near the river traditionally the most active after dark. In recent years the park has been more brightly lit, cleared of undergrowth and more heavily patrolled, so activity is quieter and more discreet than in the past. Same-sex activity is legal in Italy; use common sense, keep to public etiquette and be aware of your surroundings.
