Our stay in Riga was a wonderful experience, and a trip here is highly recommended. What we liked: The charming old hotel building, with its castle-like appearance, is easily recognizable even from afar. We were very lucky to receive a room upgrade, so we were extremely happy and satisfied and could even enjoy a snack or a glass of wine on the balcony. The most important Art Nouveau buildings, excellent restaurants, and unique cafes are all very close by. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Old Town through beautiful parks – once you figure out the bus routes, it's even quicker. The windows couldn't be completely darkened – if that bothers you at night, you might have a problem. The bed and mattresses were perfect. The staff is truly very helpful and friendly – many of them seem to be students. The breakfast is plentiful, but not entirely convincing. However, the price-performance ratio is very good. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay (5 nights). Furthermore, we were very impressed by the country, the city, the people, and the culture, and we would love to return. Disliked · In general, Riga seems to have a certain problem with motorcyclists who express their joy about good weather extremely loudly with powerful engines.

Beautiful location in the middle of the Art Nouveau district, lovely, neat, spacious rooms.

Old but really quiet and clean hotel. The breakfast on the first morning tasted a bit rancid, but on the other mornings it was of good quality. Not top quality but edible. Mustard has some flavor ;) The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of everything. And public transport runs right next door.

The rooms are really fine, but in my opinion breakfast isn't worth it and the breakfast room doesn't have a cozy atmosphere.
