Chișinău Pride 2027

Chișinău Pride 2026 is GENDERDOC-M's annual march and festival for Moldova's LGBTQ+ community. It happens in the capital's center.

The march itself runs through the city's main streets, always with police protection. A few hundred people show up, including solidarity groups from Romania, Germany, and other EU countries.

This has been going on since 2002. That makes it one of the longest-running Pride events in the post-Soviet world.

You can expect counter-demonstrations from Orthodox Church and nationalist groups. But lately, the march has had better police protection. Moldova's push to join the EU has given the government more reason to keep things safe.

Pride week also includes film screenings, panel discussions, and other community events at the GENDERDOC-M center. It's the biggest moment all year for public LGBTQ+ visibility in Moldova.
