GENDERDOC-M (Centrul de Informații GENDERDOC-M) is Moldova's principal LGBTQ+ rights organisation and one of the oldest in the post-Soviet space, established in 1998. Based in central Chișinău, it provides legal aid, documentation of rights violations, HIV and STI testing, community support services and advocacy at the legislative level, and it is the organising force behind Moldova Pride. Its information centre hosts screenings, panel discussions, workshops and regular community gatherings, and serves as an essential first point of contact for LGBTQ+ visitors seeking community connection or support in the city. I highly recommend the Genderdoc-M Information Center. It is a safe, confidential and accessible place where you can benefit from a wide range of useful services for free. Here you can receive psychological help from professional specialists, free legal assistance, as well as free testing for sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms and lubricant are also provided, and for those who need it, there is the possibility of receiving free PrEP. The team is very kind, well-trained and treats each person with respect and professionalism. A place where safety and confidentiality come first.
