The team was fantastic! From reception to housekeeping and the breakfast staff, they were all very professional, efficient, warm, welcoming, and available should any issues arise (and I had a few during my week there). The room was clean and very quiet: perfect for relaxing after a long day at work. The hotel is very well located (a maximum 10-minute walk from the train station and 2 minutes from the cultural center and restaurants/shops). I will definitely return for another stay.

A quiet hotel in a relatively good location. Friendly staff. However, a major drawback is the architectural design. One has to wonder how architects could come up with such an idea—and how developers could possibly accept it. Theoretically, every room could offer a view of the lake or the city; in practice, however, this is only possible for guests taller than 160 cm—and only while standing.

We enjoyed our stay at Leonardo Hotel Almere City Centre. It offered everything we needed: great proximity to the station, shops, and the fabulous Weerwater lake, plus water views, a great shower with 24-hour hot water, a coffee machine, working AC, Chromecast, and a fridge. The front desk staff were amazing, especially Fleur and Eman, who looked after us brilliantly! However, we had a couple of odd experiences with housekeeping. On our second morning, my wife asked a cleaner for coffee creamer and was told to go down to reception. The next day at 8:15 am, I was still in bed and heard a woman talking very loudly on her phone for over 20 minutes. The noise was disruptive enough that I got up to investigate and traced it to the corner room next to ours. By the time I grabbed my phone to record the intrusion, the noise had stopped, and I noticed a cleaning trolley had emerged at the end of the corridor, leading me to believe the noise came from the housekeeping staff next door. Fortunately, this was a one-off issue so we didn't feel the need to complain at the time, but that morning it did disrupt our stay in the “quiet room” I had asked for.

Dirty, poor lighting, sagging beds, broken kettle, cumbersome WiFi system where the TV has to stay on and casting to the TV doesn't work.

This is my 5th time, and every time it has been taken care of perfectly!
