What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise Hotel Victoria for its excellent central location, comfortable rooms, and a breakfast with a wide selection. However, some guests have noted that the conference facilities and food quality for larger events can be dated and disappointing.

About this place Hotel Victoria

Hotel Victoria is a classic mainstream hotel at Skansegata 1, at the head of the Vågen harbour in central Stavanger. The quayside bars and the painted houses of Fargegaten are a few minutes' walk away. It is gay-friendly rather than a gay hotel, and Google reviewers rate it about 4.4 from more than 900 reviews. It has one real queer link: Helseutvalget, Norway's LGBTQ+ health organisation, lists the hotel as the venue for its Sjekkpunkt pop-up HIV/STI testing sessions in Stavanger. Dates change, so check helseutvalget.no before turning up for testing.

Charming stay. Rooms were comfortable, duvets fluffy, and the shower hot and plentiful. Like all European hotels they have the semi open shower, which always get spray on the floor, ut it's standard these days. Breakfast buffet was quite good though stated at 8, a bit later than typical.

A very good hotel, cozy, family-run. Delicious breakfasts are included in the price. The only downside is that breakfast starts too late on weekends, at 8:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. would be ideal if you want to leave early, full, for example, to visit Preikestolen. There's no parking, but the Valberghallen parking lot is nearby, but unfortunately, it's closed overnight, so if you have an early morning flight and need to leave before 7:00 a.m., you should leave your car at the Jorenholmen parking lot.
