Hotel Poznań HP Park

It's quite far from the center, near a lake, so there are a lot of mosquitoes.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I decided to describe the lack of professionalism and moral courage demonstrated by the staff at the HP Hotel (special "lowercase") in Poznań. On Thursday, I booked two rooms at the hotel by phone, asked for an email confirmation, and received one! I thought, "Great, done!" Unfortunately, on Monday, I discovered that upon arrival at the hotel, the reservation had been canceled, probably on Friday. Three people knew about our reservation, two of whom had reservations. Luckily, the lady at reception (the only one who acted truly professionally) found two rooms, though I know it was difficult! Generally, that could have been the end of the story, but the question is, who canceled the reservation? If it wasn't us? The lady at reception tried to find out from the manager and the colleague who took the cancellation who? Their name, surname, and phone number... but she didn't find out! She asked me to call the manager the next day. So, on Tuesday, just after 8:00 a.m., I called the receptionist and asked to be connected to the manager. After exchanging pleasantries and waiting for some rational explanation, I was told that the cancellation had definitely been made by someone on our behalf (meaning me or the people in whose name the reservation was made). I concluded that the manager was on our side, that it certainly wasn't the hotel's fault! Now imagine, ladies and gentlemen, you work at a hotel, and someone calls and says, "Please cancel reservation number 1111111," and that's it. And then the question, for example, who was the reservation for? Who made the reservation? Hmmm, so if I call any hotel now and, in the unlikely event, give them a string of numbers, will I be able to cancel someone's stay? Or is it just me? I asked the manager to speak to the people during check-out, perhaps offer a symbolic piece of chocolate or a voucher for a future visit. It was really just a matter of human instinct! The manager assured me he knew how to behave. The men checked out, got in their car, and drove away! And that was it! A small talk was possible, but the bad taste remained.

Great location, everything is top-notch.

Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff was very negative. Magda behaved in an unprofessional and arrogant manner. During the conversation, she appeared nervous, and her tone was unpleasant and lacking in friendliness towards guests. Instead of helping to resolve the matter, she responded in a manner that could be perceived as dismissive. This type of behavior should not be tolerated in a hotel where guests expect polite and professional service. I hope the management will address the standard of front desk service, as situations like this negatively impact the hotel's image.

The hotel is truly dog-friendly. Picturesquely situated right by the lake and next to a bike path, it's a 7-minute bike ride to the center.

A very pleasant hotel. Perfectly located, right on Malta Island, you can enjoy breakfast with a beautiful view. Breakfast was very good and varied. Very comfortable beds, and the area was quiet and peaceful. The staff were extremely friendly.
