Location location location, and the place is great too.

Even with a difficult party member the guest experience in unaffected. Every amenity is gorgeous and their restaurant is top of the line.

Unfortunately, the experience did not match the 5 stars or the price. The experience began with trying to contact the hotel multiple times to change the number of people staying, without any response to the email the main service desk provided me. Finally, after the fifth phone call on multiple days, I was able to reach the front desk that connected me with someone who was able to help adjust the reservation. The room on arrival looked like it could use a refresh, and definitely a cleaning, as there was a layer of dust on surfaces as well as stains throughout the bathroom counters, shower doors, and hair on the bathtub. When I called the front desk at 10pm if it was possible to provide a different pillow, they said yes, but not till 6:30 the next morning. They said the pillows were locked in the housekeeping locker... The swimming pool was also not a relaxing experience. There was a group of young kids jumping, screaming, and using their pool noodles to hit the water. When we notified the person monitoring the entrance to the pool area that their own rules said no jumping, and they were jumping around people's heads, his reply was "that's just how it is" and wouldn't do anything further. The finality was when I was checking out - I didn't get asked how my stay was, but instead I was told there was a charge for an additional breakfast - which I had paid for at check in. When I told the person I had already paid he told me to 'prove it'. Luckily, I had my receipts. The only benefit of this hotel is that it is close to the old town, otherwise, there are many better places to stay in the area.
