Terra Nova Hotel

The staff was very friendly and attended to all my requests. It's certainly well-located and affordable. However, I think the cleanliness could be improved, and some things in the room should be updated.

Excellent service with welcoming environment

If i could give it 6 stars I would I booked this for a nearby wedding as it was so much cheaper. Its a quick walk from the bus station /train station. The self service aspect may seem daunting but it's so easy to do. You get sent the code before your arrival and then collect your key once in. My room was spotless, bed comfy, a decent shower, and a kettle, microwave and fridge for your use. If you're like me and need a bit of guidance on silly things like how to open the window /turn on the shower, the owner is right on hand to help. He was also so gracious about a mark id left in the room due to tan and a floor spillqge. t was perfectly comfortable and safe and I would stay here again without a doubt.

The Terra Nova Hotel is in the heart of Aberdeen City centre. It's just off Union Street, and a short 9-minute walk takes you to Union Square, the train and bus stations. Considering the prime location, I found the price very reasonable. There was also a fridge and microwave... which i rarely see on my travels across Scotland. The usual tea, coffee, milk, and microwave were available. As well as bathroom products. The only letdown, im sorry to say, was the check-in. I booked online and just expected to be able to get into the hotel, but the main door was locked, and I was confused as to how I enter the hotel andcheck-in. I saw a notice on the door and called the hotel but it said they were closed for the day. Thankfully thenz I noticed another leaflet on the door which was in regards to another hotel, but gave a mobile number to the same persons name. Once contact was made, it was so fast and simple to check in. I was so happy with my room. It was so quiet and spacious. I would definitely suggest trying this out! I will most definitely be back, especially at the offer i got it at. What a bargain. Great for a night out in Aberdeen and staying here afterwards.

Very clean, inexpensive hotel. Easy check-in via email. Overall, everything was very good. There are two things to complain about. First, it's very noisy (thin walls/windows, gap at the door). Second, the fire alarm went off twice at 11 pm.

Stayed 2 nights. Very clean room. Full facilities (you just name it,there is everything even in single room/ heating / towels/ microwave/ dryer/ plates / crockery/ cutlery/TV/kettle /mini fridge )in bed room. For bath room (gels/towel/ humidifier) For price, affordable compare to nearby places. Plus supply kitchen that every guests can used at the basement. (It is honest review by my experience 25-27 Feb)

SCAM!!!! Please, I beg you, DO NOT spend a single euro on this hotel. It's nothing like the pictures. I'm giving it a 1 because I can't give it a 0. A deplorable building, extremely dirty, bed with hair on it, exposed pipes next to the toilet, and the bathroom is so small you could barely move. It feels like a rat might come out at any moment. Seriously. We had to leave immediately for another hotel. An indescribable smell that lingers in your nose. Disgusting. The worst experience of my life.

Caution! It doesn't match the photos. The hotel is very dirty, with exposed pipes next to the toilet, mirrors missing from the wall, sticky carpet, and hair on the bed. The sheets haven't been cleaned. There's no reception, and they won't refund your money. It's close to a scam.

Great hotel. Clean tidy. Nice openable windows for fresh air. TV good size.
