The Location Hotel

very nice

This is the only single-story hotel we stayed at during our Belgrade vacation. They were very helpful and had very friendly staff. The rooms have mini-fridges, coffee and kettle makers, hair dryers, a safe, and shower gels and shampoos. The prices are very reasonable, and it's a 10-minute walk from the city center. There are cafes and mini-markets nearby.

The rooms are small, but perfectly adequate. On our last night we booked a room with a jacuzzi. The bathtub was part of the room, but somehow we didn't mind it. The room amenities are classic. Towels, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel. And there are disposable slippers in the room. I only missed a towel holder where they could dry, but they changed them every day. The fridge was very well stocked. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, so there's no way to eat here. However, a few steps from the entrance there is a small shop that is well stocked, and 100m up from the hotel there is a delicious Italian restaurant, Casanova, where we really liked it and everything was great. The hotel is within walking distance of the center and the fortress, which I really liked. The reception is 24/7. The ladies were all pleasant, especially one who reminded me of the actress Emily Blunt 😊. I recommend the hotel 🙂.

This place left a really bad taste in my mouth. First of all their cancellation policy is atrocious so make sure you have your dates right and you know 100% that you will be going. I even tried to contact the hotel to get an answer as to why it’s so harsh. I got an automated undeliverable email back. Pathetic. There was awful construction noises right outside my window first thing in he morning for hours. You will hear every single footstep upstairs. And the bathroom absolutely stunk. Also yes there was 2 pillows but you got a choice between an actual pancake or the fattest thing you’ve ever seen that you can’t even Amish down to be a reasonable size. It is in a good location (hence the name) but I definitely don’t recommend and I would absolutely never stay here again. Not good value at all as it wasn’t even cheap to stay here.

We chose this hotel for our last trip to Belgrade. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything you needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to leave our belongings there after we checked out the next day. The location was also very central, close to restaurants and entertainment venues.

Centrally located in the old town. Clean, great room. I had a standard double room, even with a whirlpool in the bedroom. Very clean bathroom. Everything is within walking distance. I will come back. @ the ladies at reception: Thank you for your kindness and helpfulness. It was a lovely stay with my partner, and you demonstrated gay acceptance, which unfortunately isn't always the case in Serbia. Thank you for that 🌈😘

​We recently stayed at this 4-star hotel for 5 days and were unfortunately hugely disappointed, particularly given the advertised star level. ​Severe Hygiene Issues (The Main Frustration) ​The biggest source of frustration was the abominable state of the hygiene. • ​Dirty Jacuzzi/Bath: The jacuzzi was visibly dirty upon arrival. Although we complained immediately, we did not dare to use it, even after the 'cleaning attempt'. • ​Insufficient Room Cleaning: The room was dusty and not properly cleaned. Following a complaint, we requested a second clean. Unfortunately, the result was barely better: thick dust and dirt were everywhere in the corners and bed. • ​Cleaner's Reaction: The cleaner claimed she had cleaned it 'really well' and did not take our rightful criticism seriously, which we found extremely unprofessional. ​Maintenance and Quality of Linens ​The maintenance and quality of the textiles were also substandard: • ​Stained Towels: The towels we initially received had stains. • ​Damaged Linens: After asking for new towels, one of the pillowcases had a large hole. • ​Damaged Furniture: The small sofa in the room had visible damage, including a hole from a cigarette) and an unexplained white stain. ​Poor Complaint Handling ​The complaint process was incredibly slow and frustrating: • ​Slow Response: Due to the unusable jacuzzi, we immediately requested a partial refund. This process was agonizingly slow. We had to ask for the status every single day for four days. • ​Under Duress: We only received an answer after we stated we would contact the manager ourselves. Given we only stayed 5 days, this was an unacceptably long reaction time. • ​Late Compensation: The offered compensation (the price difference of the room and a free minibar) came far too late to salvage our stay. ​Customer Service ​Upon checkout, we were not asked how our stay was. We simply received a blunt 'bye', which further confirmed the indifference of the staff. ​Positive: The only consolation was the hotel's excellent location. ​Conclusion: This hotel absolutely does not meet the standards of a 4-star establishment, considering the serious hygiene deficiencies, poor maintenance, and slow/unprofessional handling of complaints. We strongly advise against staying here.
