Allegro Hotel

Fantastic boutique hotel!! Very centrally located to Old Town, very friendly staff, cute and quaint. Also includes a lovely breakfast every morning with eggs made to order, meat, cheese, yogurt, bread, coffee, etc. Inedible value. I would most definitely recommend!

The location is excellent, just steps from the center, shops, restaurants, and points of interest. I recommend walking up to the castle via the nearby street; it's visually more beautiful. The staff was very friendly; they provided me with a kettle so I could make tea and stored my luggage after checkout. The period decor in the room was a highlight. Now for the many negative points that prevent me from deserving 4 stars. 1. The room didn't have thick curtains, only sheer white ones. At night, I felt very exposed because there was a courtyard, stairs, and other rooms across the hall. With the light on, anyone could see me while I was getting dressed or going to bed. 2. In the bathroom, the sink was too small; I had to bend down a lot, and it was difficult to get the water to drain. It took a long time to empty, making it hard to brush my teeth or wash my face. 3. The desk was nice, but it was absolutely impossible to sit comfortably. I think it was more for show because sitting down to work or eat was impossible due to its low height. 4. There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room, which is unthinkable in a 4-star hotel. 5. Breakfast was basic: bread, packaged goods, and a coffee machine. There was nothing homemade or typical. They offered a very small portion of scrambled eggs. 6. It doesn't have any 4-star amenities: coworking spaces, a pool, ironing facilities, laundry, or a gym. The common areas are small. This hotel (and especially the room I was given) is more like a 2-star hotel. The value for money is inadequate.

This was my second stay here. A true gem!! Elegant, spotlessly clean, wonderful and tidy rooms. Very kind staff! Excellent breakfast, simple but delicious!

A really lovely hotel. Located right in the city center, it's the perfect base for exploring. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. The small balcony was great for sitting outside in the evening, even when the restaurants in front of the hotel were full. The only tiny criticism was the breakfast. Unfortunately, it didn't suit our taste at all. Otherwise, our stay was perfect. We would definitely come back!

It's not every day you get the chance to experience staying in a 17th-century mansion in the heart of Ljubljana. To be perfectly honest, it's absolutely worth it. The hotel offers an experience that transports you back in time, not to mention the incredibly comfortable beds. I'm so grateful to Tina for her help and kindness. If she wants to marry me, I'll take her to Mexico.

A beautiful hotel for those who love a bit of antiquity. Perfect location.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Friendly, attentive service. The reception area is beautifully decorated and furnished. We were given the top floor room and this was so comfortable and had every necessary amenity. One could see the castle from one of the loft windows. It is ideally located at the bottom end of the stunning Stari trg, so there are eateries and bars and shops within a short walking distance. The breakfast offer was decent and I genuinely cannot think of any negatives.

We loved this hotel. When we arrived, we were told that we'd been upgraded to the attic suite. This had a couple of separate bedrooms in the eaves, tiny but brilliant. There was a cold snap when we stayed in November, but the central heating coped well. Breakfast was very good indeed. One of the major attractions of this hotel is its interior design. It just feels special to stay here. Another is its location; you're right in the heart of the old town here. Wonderful. I'd definitely stay here again.
