Amazing building with great staff. A few things to be fixed up with the room. A number of burnt out lights and the fridge and safes did not work. Staff was very apologetic and I only stayed one night so it may have been fixed the following day.

The water boiler of our room broke (!). I was given the key to shower on a different floor (!) where I entered a suite who had just been vacated by the previous guests (!) so beds unmade, smell of cigarettes and towels in the bath tube (!) and rubbish bin full. I returned to the reception to get a fresh towel to finally be able to shower in someone else's bathtub. Traumatising. I had to clean for 10 minutes before going in. Our room where the tank broker was felt anyway stuffy, some fake marble paper glued to the sink was coming off and whatever in the fridge cost a fortune at the check-out. The breakfast and coffee were the only decent thing and the service of Ivana who I felt very for. No manager to be seen, this place is out of control

Bad experience. Late checkout was agreed upon, but I was unexpectedly required to leave early during severe rain. This created unnecessary inconvenience while traveling with luggage and formal clothing. They did offer to let me linger, but the bad taste was already in my mouth. Mistakes happen, but in business you find a way not to punish customers for your own failings. It's called hospitality. This kind of failure can only come from contempt of paying customers, if not gross incompetence. Otherwise the location/room/etc. were fine. Go to a hostel to be treated this way or better, for 25% the price.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! 1 hour for acceptance and no clarity on the price (booking had listed breakfast as included) instead after 1 hour of little clarity, exhausted, I paid the extra 90 euros for breakfast (ABSURD BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORTH IT! 15 euros per person). Furthermore, I paid for a room for 3 people (I was with my 2 children of 190 cm each!), instead, I found ONLY THE DOUBLE BED! Upon inspection I was told that they didn't have the staff to put it😳. It would be done the next day. INSTEAD, NOT ONLY WAS THE BED MISSING ON THE SECOND NIGHT, BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE ROOM😳🤢😡. That same evening upon returning, tired of the visits, I immediately wrote a complaint AND ASKED FOR A REFUND! ALSO SPECIFYING THE INADEQUACY OF THE BREAKFASTS. In total I paid 414 euros for 2 days, including the inconvenience caused. I was only refunded 50 euros, and I frankly believe THIS IS NOT AN ADEQUATE HOTEL POLICY SINCE IT POSITIONS ITSELF AS A RATHER HIGH-END HOTEL. If they had at least deducted the breakfasts (added mistakenly, I believe, since they were included in Booking.com), it would have been a more adequate and comprehensive gesture for unjustified shortcomings. The location is excellent and the rooms are large. A little dated but comfortable. The breakfast isn't worth it, but it could be comfortable, as it was for us. IT'S A SHAME THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE A BED TO SLEEP PROPERLY, AND THE ROOM WAS NOT EVEN MADE UP, AND THERE'S CONFUSION ABOUT PRICES... well, for the rest, Ljubljana is splendid. I'd like to point out that I'm not in the habit of writing reviews, but I thought it was appropriate in this case! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.
