Zinegoak Bilbao
About This Event
Zinegoak, Bilbao's international LGBTIQA+ film and performing arts festival, has been running strong since 2004. It's a week-long affair, typically in late June, with over 50 screenings, shows, and talks. You'll find these at venues like Bilborock, Golem Alhóndiga, BilbaoArte, the Teatro Arriaga, and the Guggenheim.
The 23rd edition, which ran from 22 to 29 June 2026, focused on community and the figure of the monster as spaces of collective resistance. South African filmmaker and activist Bev Ditsie was honored with an award and a retrospective, while Brydie O'Connor's Barbara Forever took home the Gran Premio.
As of our last check, the 2027 dates hadn't been announced.
