First, it's worth noting that there are two "Viñas del Ensanche" restaurants. We thought we had booked a table in the "basic" pintxo bar area, but we actually had a table in the "premium tasting menu" section. However, this wasn't a problem for us. The menu is expensive (€55 per person, and with extra drinks, pacharán, etc., it comes to around €68), but it's worth every penny. The Iberian ham and loin are in a league of their own. The croquettes and stuffed peppers melt in your mouth. And the cod and braised pork cheeks are also superb. For dessert, we had custard with raspberries and ice cream, all accompanied by excellent wine. The service and attention were also outstanding. I highly recommend it.
'You won't know which pintxos to choose.' A classic pintxo bar in Bilbao, personally one of my favorites, for its quality (you won't know which to start with or which to finish with), for the place itself, which, although modernized, retains the essence of an old tavern, and for the service from the staff, who, no matter how busy it is, are always polite and efficient. Right in the heart of Bilbao, next to the city's public library (another gem).
Excellent! Efficient service and friendly waiter. The food is good. The prices are reasonable.
La Viña bar in the Ensanche district. A true classic for foodies in Bilbao.
