Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has two well-known outdoor gay meeting areas. Spain is LGBTQ-safe, but these are open public spaces, so keep to visible areas, respect other people using them, and use common sense after dark.

El Confital

El Confital lies at the northern tip of the La Isleta peninsula, beyond the end of the Las Canteras promenade. Past the surfers and the marked naturist stretch, the viewpoint plaza and rocky coves near the entrance are a long-standing gay evening spot for local men, busiest after sunset and at weekends. There is little lighting after dark.

El Triton

El Triton is the capital's best-known cruising area, in the parking areas south of the city near Playa de la Laja, by the large Manolo Millares sculpture and the highway underpasses. It sees activity both by day and in the evening. Stay aware of traffic and passers-by and avoid isolated corners at night.

Further south, the resort area around Maspalomas also has its own cruising spots.
