What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's entertainment team, particularly Serafín and Larisa, and commend the friendly, clean, and well-maintained facilities and staff. However, some guests note significant price increases and a perceived decrease in food quality, with some rooms needing renovation and long queues for restaurant access.

About this place Maspalomas Dunes

Maspalomas Dunes is a well-known cruising area located in the heart of Maspalomas on Gran Canaria's southern coast. This outdoor gay meeting spot has long been a destination for LGBTQ+ travelers seeking casual encounters and social connection in a natural setting. The dunes provide a semi-secluded atmosphere that attracts a mix of locals and visitors year-round, drawn by the warm climate and relaxed gay scene the area is known for. As a cruising area, this venue operates on a different pace than traditional bars or clubs. Visitors can expect a more spontaneous, outdoor experience where the primary draw is meeting other gay men. The location benefits from Maspalomas' reputation as an LGBTQ+-friendly resort destination, meaning the broader area offers plenty of accommodation, dining, and nightlife options. The dunes themselves are part of a larger landscape that many travelers explore as part of a wider gay holiday experience on the island. It's worth noting that as an open outdoor space, the experience can be weather-dependent and varies by time of day. Visitors should be respectful of the natural environment and aware that this is a public area. Those interested in this type of venue should also explore Maspalomas' established gay bars, clubs, and beach culture, which offer complementary social and entertainment options. The town's LGBTQ+ infrastructure is well-developed, making it a comfortable base for queer travelers visiting Gran Canaria.

Beautiful especially if you have never been to the desert let's say... stunning at sunset obviously you have to know how to take good photos

The short 20-minute walk was waaaay longer. But it was totally worth seeing in person, go early.

It wasn't my first time visiting; the place is spectacular, you feel like you're in the middle of the desert. They're currently cordoned off, limiting access to a path that leads to a beach on one side and a lighthouse on the other. I highly recommend visiting them. The only "negative" thing I noticed is that to get there you have to walk through part of a hotel, which I found quite strange. You don't actually enter the hotel, but you do walk through a hotel archway; it's rather odd, to be honest.
