La Fragata

via Stay22About this place La Fragata
La Fragata sits right on the Paseo de la Ribera in Sitges, that popular strip along the water in Catalonia’s most out-and-proud coastal town. It’s a Mediterranean spot, doing the usual regional food with local ingredients.
Sitges has been an LGBTQ+ magnet for decades, and its restaurants tend to feel pretty relaxed and worldly. La Fragata fits right in. The kitchen does a good job with seafood and paella, and they’ve got a long wine list if you want to drink Spanish with your meal.
The best part is the location, though. Being right on the promenade means you get the sea breeze and the people-watching, especially if you snag one of the outdoor tables. It’s the kind of place you go for a long, easy dinner, not a quick bite.
It’s a solid choice for a celebratory meal or just a pleasant night out. Check their website, restaurantefragata.com, for hours and seasonal changes.

We stumbled upon this place by chance and it was fantastic. All the dishes were excellent. To start, they offered us a complimentary salt cod brandade. It was very mild and served with toasted bread. We ordered some croquettes to nibble on, and they were an explosion of flavor. One thing to note is that the croquettes were served with aioli, which isn't listed on the menu. Since some of my companions didn't like it, they changed it for us without the aioli, without any problem. The croquettes were very mild, yet you could taste all the ingredients. For our main courses, we ordered octopus, monkfish in marinara sauce, and foie gras and mushroom ravioli… everything was cooked, presented, and delicious. The place was very comfortable and peaceful, with no noise. If I return to Sitges, I'll definitely be back.
It was a great experience! José treated us spectacularly, it was my father's birthday and he prepared us a beautiful cake! He was super attentive and generous with us at all times, there should be more people like that
What a disappointment. We are loyal customers of this establishment. We came to try dishes like the xato again... which is now a disaster. Why change it? The sauce is completely different. The steak tartare wasn't up to par either. The croquettes were nothing special. The staff, while efficient, were nothing more. In short, we are very disappointed by the decline of your establishment.
Julia served us; she was super friendly, professional, and lovely! The food was amazing—subtle but delicious flavors! Everything was incredible.
Fine restaurant, but the staff could be a bit friendlier.
Excellent treatment, excellent service, excellent food
