Thalassa Sitges

Superb food, from the truly excellent tzatziki to the Greek indalata, the Thalassa salad you see in the photo served warm!!! Super chicken Good moussaka! The baked feta was dreamy!!! In short, super food. The second time I went, the wait was a bit long and there were a few oversights, but I would go back and I highly recommend it if you want to taste real Greek food!

Good food, I recommend it

No one greets you to seat you. Neither salt nor pepper is placed on the table. The waiter doesn't smile. There was a problem in the kitchen that was concealed and only mentioned to the customer after 40 minutes. It's great to serve good food, but if the staff can't match it, it's a disaster.

We had a wonderful experience at Thalassa in Sitges. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is beautiful, with a lovely view of the old church that makes the atmosphere even more special. We tried the fresh catch of the day, grilled to perfection, along with the shrimp hilopittes, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. To finish, we had the con nueces dessert, which was outstanding—the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. If you’re looking for fresh seafood, warm hospitality, and a beautiful setting in Sitges, Thalassa is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Thalassa is sort of perfect really. Fantastic location by the church right be the seafront, wonderful food and that warm, family, authentic welcome you want from a local restaurant when on holiday. I researched fish restaurants using Claude.ai and it brought back Thalassa as one of the top 3 restaurants to try. The fact that they have a Cretan chef really stood out in Claude's overview. When we arrived the staff were very welcoming even though we had not reserved a table and seated us quickly. We just had the fish of the day. I say 'just' it was far from that. It had been grilled to perfection, fell of the bones. It came with grilled vegetables also, which on paper didnt sound so exciting but actually were so well prepared and if im honest the potatoes were the star of the show (The fish was really but let me explain). They were like butter when you bit into them, with a subtle olive oil and tarragon taste, they were not just potatoes lol. this really confirmed that the food was authentic not just saying it was greek food but expressing it in a very detailed way. You can tell this was very experienced cooking and just enhanced the experience. Its also very reasonable for a seafront restaurant, we ate there twice and if Im honest I could have ate there for all the nights we were there. We ate at other nice places (Gaby's just done from Thalassa was great also, just in a different way), but Thalassa really stood out - Technical, authentic and exactly what you want from Mediterranean cooking.

Great dining experience at Thalassa last night. Wonderful selection of yummy Greek dishes. We were a table of 4. We had three tasty starters, main course, desert and two bottles of a very good wine. The portions of the starters were plenty for four of us to share and the main courses were huge and delicious. For desert, my favorite was the orange cake and second place went to the baklava, both with vanilla ice cream. We dined outside along the passeig de ribera where we could also people watch. We live in Sitges and this was our first visit. It won’t be our last. Highly recommend calling for reservations.

Fantastic location, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The food is good, but having been to Greece, I expected something more. I had the moussaka, but it didn't remind me of Greek flavors. Everything else was good. Recommended!
